A rare glimpse into Soundcastle life behind the scenes of Zoom!

Our wonderful Soundcastle London Director, Gail Macleod, has been digitally facilitating her local pub choir through lockdown. They’re a brilliant bunch and all proceeds go directly into keeping Soundcastle creating spaces to support wellbeing, resilience and positive mental health.

Go Gail! Time for a well earned nap 😴

Posted @withregram • @gaillou_music Since March my Wednesday evenings have looked like this. I’m leading the joyful Rose and Crown Singers who are supposed to be @roseandcrownpub.e17 but instead we’ve been keeping the camaraderie alive online. It hasn’t all been easy but 16 sessions,
10 songs, 6 new recordings of the choir, 1 film (coming soon!) and a whole lot of tech adventures later we’re still singing! It’s time for me to take a break. I have learnt so much here and I’m looking forward to a new start in September whatever that may look and sound like. #choirlife #lovesinging #singforyourlife #zoomlife #summertime #technewbie #communitymusic #voices #wfvirtualculture #walthamforest

M u s i c a l B e a c o n s 🌈

Today is our second session of Musical Beacons South East with the wonderful women and children at East Sussex Young Mother’s Service.

We would like to give a huuuge shout out and thanks to the wonderful Early Years specialist Belinda Gannon from Monday Music for passing her beautiful resources on to this very special project.

The children are having a beautiful time and we are learning how to Zooooom facilitate with parachutes! 🎉

Our fabulous team today are Hannah & Fernando Machado 🎶

Supported by Arts Council England, Tesco, East Sussex Arts Partnership & the Chalk Cliff Trust 💜
