Feeling completely inspired by the Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance Awards today! Hannah, Basma and I were fortunate enough to be invited to attend, as Soundcastle was nominated for the ‘Practicing Well’ Award 2022.
The awards were a beautiful celebration of all things creativity, wellbeing and co-production. We were in such incredible company, surrounded by innovators who are designing programmes that deliver meaningful change nationally.
We were nominated for our Sparking Change programme, as well as our Wellbeing Agenda as an organisation.
- Sparking Change supports a diverse range of young people who have faced barriers to accessing opportunities and training in community arts facilitation.
- Our Wellbeing Agenda is Soundcastle’s way of embedding wellbeing throughout everything we do. We believe in wellbeing in all areas of Soundcastle – from our programmes, to our training and management structures. We celebrate supervision, mentoring, coaching, flexible working, open conversations and advocate for these essential practices within community arts.

We are DELIGHTED to share that we were awarded ‘Highly Commended’ status and would also like to congratulate everyone on the Practicing Well shortlist; Turtle Key Arts, Headway Arts, Live Music Now and the 2022 winners – Performing Medicine.
We look forward to keeping conversation going around Practicing Well and highly recommend a read of Nicola Naismith’s research and resources here: https://www.nicolanaismith.co. uk/research-writing/ practising-well-conversations- support-menu
